Installeren SDRSharp op windows - on4cbn - 02-21-2013

Dit is hoe je deze software kan installeren op windows :

Beste install handleiding :

download eerst : SDR#Stable (sdr-stable.zip) en SDR#RTLSDR Plugin (sdr-nightly-rtlsdr.zip) van deze locatie :
http://sdrsharp.com/index.php/downloads

unzip beiden in dezelfde subdirectory v.b. : /sdr_sharp
Vervang het bestand “SDRSharp.exe.Config” in de hoofddirectory door hetzelfde bestand dat zich in de subdir /sdr_sharp/config bevindt.
Reden : de lijn met “<add key="RTL-SDR / USB" value....” staat hier niet in commentaar en is nodig ! (dit zal wegens licentie redenen zijn ...)

Volgende download : (klik op het woord “downloading”)

Uit deze .zip hebben we enkel dit bestand nodig: /rtl-sdr-release/x32/rtlsdr.dll
kopieer deze rtlsdr.dll in de hoofddirectory /sdr_sharp

Laatste stap (als je reeds een goede DVB-T USB stick bezit)  : de “zadig” driver installeren.

Download van de volgende link het bestand “zadig_v2.0.1.160.7z” voor windows 7 en 8.
Voor windows XP kies je voor : zadig_xp_v2.0.0.160.7z (hier hebben we ons vrijdag vergist in de club)

Dit driver install programma zit in een 7zip compressie.
Hiervoor heb je deze 7-zip tool nodig :
http://www.7-zip.org/ (kies de .exe voor 32 bit)

Net vóór het uitvoeren van zadig.exe moet je DVB-T USB stick inzitten !
Windows komt af met “nieuwe hardware gevonden” : niets van aantrekken (of proberen te annuleren).
volg deze instructies voor de zadig driver install :

De device keuze in de drop-list is niet noodzakelijk bij elke stick “Bulk-In, Interface (Interface 0)”
Bij mij was de device die ik moest kiezen : “RTL2838UHIDIR”
De USB ID voor onze stick zal  “OBDA 2838” zijn. (moet je niet wijzigen)
De driver moet steeds “WinUSB (v6.1.7600.16385)” zijn.
Klik op de grote knop “install Driver”

Na de install :
(een iets verouderde handleiding)

Start het programma : /sdr_sharp/SDRSharp.exe (dubbelklik)

Sommigen kriigen nu een .NET error (zoals in de club)
SDRSharp heeft (zoals vele tools) het  .NET framework van Microsoft nodig.
install .NET Framework 4.5 voor nieuwe PC’s (windows 7 en 8) : http://www.microsoft.com/net/
Oudere windows xp gaan voor .NET Framework 3.5 of ouder : http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22
Deze install kan een half uurtje duren... (+ herstart PC)

Eens SDRSharp.exe is opgestart :
In het programma : linksboven in het dropdown-menu kies : RTL-SDR / USB als source.
Klik op de “Configure” en vink RTL AGC aan. Schuif ook de RF Gain eerst goed naar rechts. (met deze instellingen moet je wat ‘spelen’)
Druk op “Play”.
Kies bij Radio voor WFM en zet de Center eens op 107 000 000.
Schuif de rode marker eens naar 107,8  :wink:  
Je kan nu onderaan het scherm de witte lijn omhoog slepen zodat je ook een “waterfall” scherm hebt.

Probeer ook eens de ontvangst rond 128.145 Mhz (in AM).
Zet het antenneken zo ver mogelijk van de PC en zo dicht mogelijk tegen een raam.
Gebruik ook een USB verlengsnoer om de stick verder van de PC te monteren.
Op 1090 Mhz kan je ook (zwak maar meestal voldoende) ADS-B signalen zien van vliegtuigen.
Later meer hierover (dit werkt ook prima !)

Indien je nog geen DVB-T USB stick hebt kan je toch al iets uitproberen met het programma :
Je hebt alle instructies gevolgd behalve die “zadig” driver install.
Download nu dit .wav bestand :

Start SDRSharp.exe op en kies linksboven in het dropdown-menu : IQ file (*.wav)
Open het .wav bestand (Winrad_20100823_142329Z_14181kHz.wav)
Druk op “play” linksboven. In radio : USB kiezen
Je kan nu onderaan het scherm de witte lijn omhoog slepen zodat je ook een “waterfall” scherm hebt.
