Bio: |
The colourful Japanese dragon, part of their cultural mythology for hundreds of years, represents steadiness, freedom, and good luck. Its fearsome and warlike qualities make it a wonderful ally or a fierce enemy. Most people have heard stories about the knight slaying the dragon and profitable the love of the princess. Among many historical cultures, slaying the dragon is probably one of the highest honors a person can obtain. Think of the tales of St. George or Beowulf, although in each, the dragon might also symbolize pre-Christian thought. The Eastern dragon is seen as a noble beast that offers wisdom and safety while in historical Western culture, it represents a much darker and extra threatening creature.
